Typical cycle length (days) A typical cycle lasts 21–35 days. Typical period length (days) Bleeding usually lasts 3–7 days. Luteal phase (days) Time between ovulation and the expected period start – fairly constant for most people at 10–16 days (usually ~14 days). Used to estimate ovulation. "Period coming soon" window (days) How many days before the expected period start a reminder appears under the ring number. 1–3 days is typical.
